Here you'll find a complete selection of interchangeable hardwood and resin scales for your Hart Steel 5/8 razor blade. The Hart Steel straight razor's hex nut assembly allows you to easily swap out one scale for another to keep things interesting. So of course a hex nut assembly is NOT included with your interchangeble scales. If you have need of a hex nut assembly please contact Customer Service and we'll see what we can do for you. Whether you choose the sleek sophistication of a quality resin scale or the Old World allure of a premium hardwood scale the choice is all yours.

Resin scales currently are only available in Black and White, Pearlex and Faux Ivory are in the manufacturing process. (Pearlex and Ivory scales are made through a labor intensive manufacturing process and are priced accordingly)

Note: These scales are designed to fit 5/8 or 6/8 width straight razor blades, depending on your selection. 

Note: These scales are designed to fit 5/8 or 6/8,7/8  Hart Steel blades ONLY. All Hart steel razors use a unique screw and nut pivot pin that allows for easy change of the many styles of Hart Steel scales. Vintage razor styles use a peened pin that although may last centuries in a razor are difficult to adjust and require specialized tools to replace scales on the razors.

NOTE: Changing a peened pin razor to the more modern Hart Steel screw and nut assembly can require quite a bit of modification. The most difficult and labor intensive aspect of upgrading the razor is getting a carbon drill bit to drill through the hardened steel. Trying to just use the Hart Steel scales on a peened pin style razor will not work as the hole for the screw is pre-made and much too large for the smaller pin.
